Oak Meadow Event Center

This winter wedding season brought Amy-Cole Photography a December, Alabama Wedding at Oak Meadow Event Center; a dream for any professional wedding photographer to photograph.

Josh and I were elated to return to Oak Meadow Event Center, a farmhouse wedding venue in Ohatchee, Alabama (near Birmingham, Huntsville, and Gadsden, Alabama) to photograph the wedding day every bride’s love story should include. The dreamy wedding day was filled with rays of sunshine, bridesmaids in flowing bridesmaid dresses, groomsmen in precision-fitting tuxedos, a loving family, supportive friends, the perfect bride, a handsome groom and the best wedding cake and groom’s cake one has ever had in their wedding reception! Josh and I love watching and supporting our Amy-Cole Couples in their wedding day journey. From the engagement session to wedding day the goal remains the same, to be happily married.

Dylan and Jennifer are such a special couple. Their story is a different than so many of our Amy-Cole Couples. Jennifer is also a photographer! It’s always humbling to be trusted to capture the moments of a bride’s wedding day; however, when another photographer leaves the responsibility to capture such important memories in your hands, it’s incredibly humbling and a little overwhelming. I think back to Dylan and Jennifer’s engagement session in June. Their love for one another was undeniable. The smiles were natural, the laughter was contagious, and they were so comfortable being in each other’s embrace. The end of the engagement session led into a conversation of Jennifer’s vision for her wedding day at Oak Meadow Event Center.

Oak Meadow Event Center is such a beautiful and unique wedding venue.

It’s also a blank canvas for a bride. When Jennifer started telling me her vision of greens, golds, and oranges, I was in love. It’s very rare you have a bride step out of the color box for their wedding day and Jennifer’s colors lived up to every expectation! I love a bride that breaks the mold, so brides…go for it!

Our most favorite thing about a bride and groom that choose Oak Meadow Event Center is that you can use the outdoors and indoors for all of your amazing photographs. It just doesn’t disappoint.

Jennifer chose the most classic and stunning gown. We always love working with Build a Bride in Birmingham and my goodness, her gown was just jaw dropping.

Now, lets get to the ceremony! It was our first time to shoot an outdoor ceremony and Oak Meadow Event Center and it did not disappoint at all! The sun was shining, it was a warm December day, and the bride and groom’s love was evident to not only us, but every guest that was present!

The unique arbor was so amazing and stunning and created the most gorgeous images!!!

After the ceremony, we settled in for the most perfect golden light pictures that Oak Meadow Event Center has to offer! It was quite hilarious with three videographers, two photographers with an extra on side since our friend, Stefanie McGuffey, joined us. We also had Madeline Hood join us to do behind the scenes. We wrapped up the day with a gorgeous reception inside Oak Meadow and the most perfect cakes by Cakes by Lee!

Y’all this wedding day did not disappoint at all! Jennifer was stunning. Dylan was so happy smitten. The families were so joyful and happy! We had a blast and it was such a joy to capture Jenn and Dylan’s love story!

The leave was absolutely perfect as the guest released balloons to celebrate these two as they headed off to Las Vegas!
