A Rome, Georgia Wedding Day at Pleasant Valley North and The Vogue

The most perfect and cold day for a beautiful January wedding! Ashlee and Brandon’s love story is magic and so it was perfect to head back to our hometown for a Rome, Georgia wedding day.

If you’ve never shot a Rome, Georgia wedding day you are missing out. The rich history in the city and the gorgeous views is one of my favorite things about my hometown. I also love arriving to people who know my parents and family and big hugs from friends I haven’t been around in forever.

This day was really special because we had spent time with Brandon and Ashlee in downtown Rome, for their engagement session. The light was dreamy on that warm fall day. On their wedding day, we had some warm light but it was a frigid 41 degrees as a high. And honestly, with the wind chill…this Rome, Georgia wedding day was even colder. I am still shocked at how this beautiful couple and especially those gorgeous girls handled the freezing cold temps while shooting outside.

After braving the outdoors for hours of beautiful light and formal photos, we took the amazing Rome trolley over to the church for their wedding ceremony. Another magical thing about having a Rome, Georgia wedding.

The trolley was the perfect backdrop for a full wedding party shot before heading over to Pleasant Valley North. This church happens to hold a special place in my heart. One of my dearest friend’s dad pastored there when we were in high school and so it’s always fun to walk back through the doors. So many memories are held there.

We were greeted by cute flowers girls and handsome ringer bearers before getting down to family formal business. This couple is so fun and exciting that the day was floating by quickly as we shot family formals and prepared for their wedding ceremony.

After the ceremony, we took the trolley back to Broad Street and even stopped traffic for a few minutes to grab some perfect shots. Hey, don’t tell the Sheriff. I may know him really well and don’t want to get in trouble. Like I said, these are some of my favorite things about a Rome, Georgia wedding. You know so many people and I might can get away with a few extra things on those days.

The most perfect January wedding day ended with a glorious leave through sparklers in the streets of downtown Rome. Did I mention I love my hometown?

Ashlee and Brandon! It was such an honor to capture your Rome, Georgia wedding day. We are so thankful for your trust and for the exciting memories we shared together and were able to capture for you!

We pray your love continues to grow strong.
