A Romantic Wedding at St. Ives Country Club in Johns Creek, Georgia
St. Ives Country Club Wedding
Romance is in the air, especially on a warm Sunday afternoon in Johns Creek, Georgia. I am so excited about my new life and business as a Saint Simons Wedding Photographer, but there is nothing like a North Georgia Wedding day with the most perfect couple. I grew up in North Georgia and it will always be home.
Michael and Ruthie are one of the most amazing and special couples I’ve ever worked beside. They’re kind and so fun to be around, they are madly in love and ready to celebrate a future together, and they were also so understanding when life threw our family a curve ball and we moved down to Saint Simons.
I’ll be honest, I hope one day I can pull these down south to my Saint Simons Wedding Photographer land (is that even a thing), and capture their love story.
We walked in to the bridal suite to a beautiful woman ready for her special day. Ruthie went above and beyond to make the wedding day details all anyone could ever dream of. The invitation suite, the perfect details to match her gown, the dress; Ruthie even arranged her own bridal bouquet. When we joked she could totally have a business in the wedding industry, she quickly responded this is the only time she will be doing this type of planning. I completely understand.
Michael was so handsome in his full tuxedo. To me, there is nothing quite like a classic tux on a Sunday wedding afternoon. Again, totally getting these two down to my Saint Simons Wedding dreams.
I’ve never been in a calmer bridal suite! Everyone was so relaxed and I think that is a testament to how Michael and Ruthie are as people and how they surround themselves with friends who truly love them.
The bridesmaids wore the most perfect shade of pale pink. It was calm and inviting and fit perfectly with the formal look of the gentlemen in their tuxedos and bowties. The moms were so excited for this special day and looked perfect. The dads were full of love for their children and so excited to be part of such a special moment!
The moment they had been waiting for was here!
It was time for Ruthie to walk down the aisle to Michael and for him to see her for the first time, that day.
I think he LOVED seeing his bride!
The evening ended with the most precious reception with the perfect jazz band and amazing food. And yes, I mean amazing. As the dance floor hopped with dancing and the parents enjoyed their cake watching on, the most perfect antique car drove into the lot and we took a few minutes to capture a moment of just the two of them standing there together!
A sparkler exit to end the evening and all was right! Mr. and Mrs. Michael Parnell were finally married. All of the worried due to the pandemic, all of the planning! It was finally official and this precious couple was finally married!
What a beautiful dream they’re living!
Ruthie and Michael! We love you both so much! Congratulations on your amazing wedding day and we can’t wait to watch your life unfold for the future!!! Big hugs!
