Amelia Island Wedding :: The Summer House
It was a perfect February day as we drove into Amelia Island. Kurt and Emily’s wedding day was finally here and we could not wait to celebrate with them and their families.
The Summer House, located in the heart of the Amelia Island Wedding vibe, was a perfect spot for their special and intimate wedding day. Their close friends and family gathered and enter through the most charming pink door. Don’t worry, we used the door often for portraits and I think it matched their coastal wedding feature perfectly.
Let’s get started with a view of Emily and Kurt’s Amelia Island Wedding.
An Amelia Island Wedding is something special. Just driving in, it felt so special to have a wedding in this location.
We had spent some time with Emily and Kurt at their engagement session and they truly are so much fun and so kind. We had a blast getting to know them at the shoot, so arriving at their wedding day was like seeing old friends. Everyone was so chill and relaxed and ready to have a great day.
We drove up to the most amazing venue. It is close to the waterfront and also side bars as a realty company. You walk up to the cutest opening and pink door. There is also amazing ivy glittering the walls out front. As you walk inside, you see a very metro looking space with a fun atmosphere. It was definitely fit with a coastal wedding vibe for an intimate Amelia Island Wedding.
As Kurt and Emily arrived, we prepared to get ready and have their special first look. As Kurt saw Emily for the first time, it was exactly what I expected with these two. They both had beaming smiles and felt calm just seeing one another. That is usually how you know a couple is ready for their marriage to take place…the smiles as the first look.
We then started capturing their Amelia Island Wedding day on the balcony overlooking the city. I mean, what a view and venue. So many people had traveled in for their day, so it was pretty perfect for them to pick a vacation and coastal vibe venue.
As we headed into their Amelia Island Wedding ceremony, the guest were so excited and ready to see the bride. I will admit, you can tell these two were ready…it was probably the quickest ceremony ever, but I think it fit these two PERFECTLY! They knew what they were there to accomplish and we didn’t drag out that big kiss moment happening!
After their ceremony, we headed down to the water front with them as their cocktail party got started. The sunset was glowing with pinks and oranges and man, it was dreamy. Just don’t ask how many bug bites we all had after we left. But trust me, for these shots…it was worth it.
As we entered the reception at this Amelia Island Wedding, there was a ton of food, a ton of fun, and a cool bar atmosphere where the bride and groom had created their own beer for this special day. Everyone was eating, mingling, and having fun. And let me tell you, the food was good!
Their night ended exactly the way they wanted…fun with friends and singing and dancing.
It was a pretty perfect coastal vibe for this Amelia Island Wedding with Kurt and Emily!
Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. McKenna! You’re day was so much fun and we look forward to a lasting friendship with you guys for a long time to come.
