Capturing Love and Laughter: Caleb and Grace’s Couple’s Session by a University of Tennessee Photographer

As a University of Tennessee photographer, I’ve had the privilege of capturing many special moments, but few are as close to my heart as the couple’s session I recently did with my son, Caleb, and his girlfriend, Grace—or as we affectionately call her, Gracie Girl. This photoshoot was not just about taking beautiful pictures; it was about documenting the blossoming love story of two incredibly special people in my life.

A Glimpse into Their Love Story

Caleb and Grace have a way of lighting up any room they enter, together. Their laughter is contagious, and their joy is palpable. Both are in the midst of their college journeys—Grace at the University of Tennessee and Caleb at Shorter University. Despite the busyness of their academic lives, they carve out time to nurture their relationship, dreaming of a future together possibly near us in Knoxville, Tennessee.

More Than Just a Photoshoot

During our session, it was heartwarming to see how Grace has seamlessly become a part of our family. Her presence has brought so much joy and new energy into our lives, and it’s clear she and Caleb share something truly special. Capturing these moments felt more like a celebration of their young love and the bond they continue to build with each other.

The Setting and the Moments

We chose a location that was meaningful to them, creating a relaxed and natural backdrop that complemented their personalities perfectly. As they interacted with each other—sharing jokes, stealing glances, and just being their authentic selves—I was able to capture candid shots that really tell the story of who they are together: joyful, loving, and deeply connected.

Not Engaged... Yet

While they’re not engaged yet, this session was a delightful way to freeze this sweet phase of their relationship in time. The excitement about what the future holds for them was evident in their smiles and their easy affection with each other. And yes, we’ve had many questions about when the big question might be popped, but for now, we're all just enjoying watching their love story unfold.
