I mean, wowzer!

First off, we love us some Tanner and Reagan, but I also love some Birmingham, Alabama! This is where Amy-Cole Photography was born and going back is what dreams are made of. Being a Birmingham Wedding Photographer was always one of my favorite things about my business and it was just like going home! Greystone Golf and Country Club was showing off and so were this bride and groom! Get yourself ready! We are about to go on a fun wedding day journey!

Reagan and Tanner made my Birmingham Wedding Photographer dreams come true! Their classic black tie affair was planned to perfection. This doesn’t surprise me after the way Tanner surprised Reagan with their proposal at Barnsley Gardens, last year. It was straight from a fairytale. Actually, he patterned it after the scene from “A Cinderella Story”.

We adore this couple and I could not have been more excited to capture all of the sweet details from their most perfect wedding day!

As we arrived to Greystone Golf and Country Club, the sun was perfect and the breeze was blowing. There is nothing like a fall wedding day in the south, especially as a Birmingham Wedding Photographer. This was also a perfect fall day because these two love college football and their teams just happened to be playing smaller schools and they knew they could soak in the day without much distraction.

You see, these two will be a house divided. Sweet Reagan is a graduate of the University of Alabama and Tanner attended and is a HUGE Auburn fan! Just fun Tanner, I will yell a big WAR EAGLE from this seat, as a I blog their wedding day. Don’t worry, there were no fights on this wedding day…but just you wait for the ending to this blog! (wink, wink)

We had the most amazing time on this day. The family was so happy and everything was falling into place perfectly.

One of the most magical moments were watching their families see them for the first time. We knew Reagan walking down the aisle was going to bring tears to everyone’s eyes. As the song played, it happened! Our Birmingham Wedding Photographer dreams were being fulfilled and Tanner couldn’t hold in his emotions anymore! We captured the most special moments as they said “I do.” What a beautiful, Christ centered, love story we were watching unfold.

The room was still as we captured their love. The room was full of love for this most special couple!

After the ceremony, it was time to seize the moment for this Birmingham Wedding Photographer! The sun was setting in the most perfect Alabama sky and we ventured out on the golf carts to chase the light. Tanner was the videographer at our Tornado wedding early last year. He knew this was the moment and he and Reagan were ready to chase the light with us!

It did NOT disappoint! And let’s pause for one minute and give a round of applause for Reagan’s cathedral veil! I am not sure I will ever get over it!

Future Amy Cole brides: get a long veil with no beading or design to make this kind of magic happen! It’s what a Birmingham Wedding Photographer’s dreams are made of!

We spent the rest of the evening enjoying the fun and laughter as these two celebrated with friends and family! The DJ was jumping and the place was hopping. This crowd came ready to party and have some fun on the dance floor!

They did not disappoint this Birmingham Wedding Photographer!

Just when we thought we couldn’t have anymore fun, it was time for one of my most favorite leaves we’ve ever had! The Auburn fans lined up on Tanner’s side and the Alabama fan’s on Reagan’s side. As they came down the line, you heard the chants of their people! Ha! I’m not sure I’ve ever heard more Roll Tides and War Eagles as I did on this most amazing and cool night.

It was a pretty special moment! I know these two teams war during the year, but there was nothing but love in this line as they celebrated two of their favorite people! What a memory for this Birmingham Wedding Photographer!

Tanner and Reagan (and Cofield and Diamond families), we love you so much! What a joy it was to beside you on this special wedding day! It’s one I will cherish and hold close for many years to come!
